Cars in Germany's City Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Approximately fifty vehicles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement report they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a individual observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued liquid.

The substance had been drawn in the shape of a swastika, they added.

Police then found numerous other vandalized vehicles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Officials state early analysis suggest the substance was likely blood from a person.

"There is still no lead as to where it came from; investigators are not yet cognizant of any harm in connection with the event," they added.

Local authorities announced they were trying "to resolve the case" and have asked to the public for tips.

An important representative said the incident rendered him speechless and had to be solved promptly.

"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the far-right attack five years ago," he stated on social media, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at individuals of foreign heritage in five years prior.
